Facet Table

FACET TABLE is an exploration in folding as a generative process to create a dynamic and functional occasional table.  Opposite corners are folded in proportion to give the table both movement and balance.  

The complexity of wood joinery is resolved through a precise digital analysis and modeling.  Each piece of FACET TABLE is laminated and planed by hand, then cut to shape with a 3 axis CNC router before being assembled and finished by hand. FACET TABLE is constructed with domestically sourced solid Black Walnut and fabricated in San Diego, CA
